I love watching makeup tutorials on YouTube because I often am inspired to attempt to recreate looks using products I already have. My absolute favorite YouTuber to watch is Tanya Burr; I have been watching her ever since her very first video back in 2009, and it has been incredible to watch her grow as both a person and makeup artist. She is so talented and has the amazing quality of making you feel as if she is right there in your living room, talking directly to you.

Anywho, I watched her most recent Everyday Makeup Tutorial and was inspired to recreate the look using a recent purchase – Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk. Here’s what I did, I hope you enjoy!

Eyes: I started by taking Mac’s All That Glitters all over my lids, and into the inner corners to create a wide eyed effect. I then applied L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Bronzed Taupe to the outer-v, and then blended it over my lids. To complete the eyeshadow look I took a small amount of Pomegranate Punk onto my fingertip, and patted it on the center of my lids, concentrating it more towards the inner corners (but not actually on the inner corners). I think that adding a touch of this just makes the look more interesting and is a great way to experiment with the shade!

Cheeks: First I applied Jouer’s Sunswept bronzer under my cheek bones and on my temples with a big fluffy brush. Whatever was left on the brush after applying to these areas I applied across my forehead, chin and nose. I then swept a bit of Covergirl True Plum blush onto the apples of my cheeks.

Lips: For a natural pinky-nude lip I applied one of my all-time favorite lippies, Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle.
